BA hands ú2m in-flight brief to Scott Lynds

Scott Lynds has won ú2m worth of worldwide in-flight TV, sponsorship and interactive media sales business from British Airways.

Scott Lynds has won £2m worth of worldwide in-flight TV, sponsorship and interactive media sales business from British Airways.

The appointment was confirmed this week after BA received final presentations from the four advertising agencies pitching for its £60m worldwide creative and media account.

Scott Lynds, whose clients include Channel 4, Live TV, SelecTV and the Travel Channel, handles in-flight media for more than 20 airlines.

The agency will work with BA on in-flight interactive systems and personal TVs.

BA is investing £80m in in-flight interactive information and entertainment channels, video-on-demand, games, gambling, electronic shopping, phone and in-flight fax facilities.

Premier Magazines will continue to handle the worldwide in-flight print media sales business.

Spafax Electronic Entertainment Development will retain its management and development role in in-flight entertainment.
