Konica UK to start search for agency

Camera company Konica UK will be looking for a advertising agency in the next few weeks after going six months without one.

Konica UK brought its advertising in-house after the Warfare Group ceased operating as an ad agency – though it did not go into liquidation – in April.

The camera company says its media account will remain at RCL Communications, but it will be looking for an agency in the next two months.

Konica UK says most of its above-the-line work was completed in the first quarter of this year. Warfare Group was involved in Konica’s 1m sponsorship of GMTV’s Hollywood Gossip and Fun in the Sun programmes. It also sponsored the Holiday Snaps spot.

The sponsorship was supported by an ad campaign that ran from May to August to coincide with the peak period for film and camera sales.
