The Crédit Suisse Group banking conglomerate has drawn up a shortlist of three agencies to pitch for an estimated $8m (5.2m) global corporate campaign.

The pitch comes just weeks after the financial services business revealed a new corporate identity created by the design agency Wolff Olins and a name change from CS Holdings.

The new branding is designed to unite the different strands of the group’s worldwide companies: its domestic Crédit Suisse operation, which is the second largest bank in Switzerland; its US arm Crédit Suisse First Boston; and its asset management and private banking interests. It has combined assets of 230bn.

The identity change, which will be introduced from January, is believed to be central to any future global campaign. The pitch, co-ordinated from New York, is thought to include London agencies TBWA, McCann-Erickson and EURO RSCG Wnek Gosper.
