Duracell revamp creates European supremo role

Duracell has created a supreme marketing role for Europe, centralising all its marketing for the region at the company’s European head office in Crawley.

Daniel Janssens, formerly based in Germany as Duracell’s regional director for Central Europe, will become vice-president customer marketing for Europe.

He will lead a marketing department divided into four sections.

Consumer marketing will be headed by former UK marketing director Glyn Harper, who takes on the new title of director of marketing for Europe.

Adrian Martorana returns to the UK from Germany, where he was marketing director for Central Europe, to become director trade marketing Europe.

The role of high-power sales and marketing manager will be taken by Pete Manuel, who worked on product development in the US, while Manita Khuller becomes category manager Europe.

Alastair Anderson will be responsible for European customer development.

The structure has been devised to ensure all European divisions are co-ordinated through the UK head office, which in turn will work with the global headquarters in the US.
