Multifunctional millennial makeovers in demand

As every glossy women’s magazine fan knows, the feature which never fails to attract snide “she looked much better before” comments is the reader makeover.

Who on earth would lay themselves open to the scrutiny of fashion mag stylists? Well, Caroline Walton, general manager of promotions for the New Millennium Experience, for one.

Fortunately for Walton, she plumped for the Good Housekeeping “Look for a lifestyle” makeover, and not the Chat or Take a Break versions. Walton said she needed more than a hard hat to see her through 1999, and the Good Housekeeping fashion consultant obliged with “multifunctional” clothes.

Come 2001, the Dome itself should consider hiring Good Housekeeping’s multifunctional image makeover lady.
