Delaney staff heed teacher ads – and quit

Delaney Lund Knox Warren may have lost its coveted teacher training brief to McCann-Erickson, but its most recent campaign, which ends next month, has not been entirely ineffective.

True, the number of people signing up for a life at the chalk-face continues to plummet.

But Delaney Lund’s ads did, at least, persuade one or two highly-paid professionals in other, ostensibly more glamorous careers, to think about a change of direction.

According to the agency’s chief executive Greg Delaney, several people working on the teacher training account were so caught up in the spirit of the thing they have since left the agency…to become teachers.
