Campbell in marketing team clearout

Campbell Grocery Products is shaking up its marketing department, and axing a number of staff to make way for a raft of new arrivals. The exodus began soon after ex-Clairol marketer Tim Perman arrived at the company last year (MW August 22, 2002).

Marketers who have left or are leaving include Homepride marketing controller Jon Elms; Paul Bairstow, who handles the Cup a Soup brand; and strategic marketing and research manager Steve Morris. Supernoodles marketing controller Richard Kingsbury left earlier this year to take up a position as entertainment and factual head of brand at UKTV.

Last year, Campbell parted company with managing director Alison Levett and European category director for sauces and flavourings Andrew Slamin (MW October 10, 2002).

As part of the restructure, Campbell has appointed Annie Neal to the new post of category marketing director. Neal’s most recent role was as marketing controller for Bulmers. She has also worked for Kraft.
