Karmarama has won the &£4m creative account for EMAP Performance’s Big City Network, a group of radio stations, after a six-way pitch, which included incumbent Faulds Advertising.

The review was overseen by Big City Network brand director Brendan Moffett and will not affect arrangements with Naked, the network’s media communications planning agency, or Sparkler, which holds its brand planning account.

Moffett, who took up the role in January (MW January 9), says that he decided to call a review because he wanted to make sure that each of the eight stations, which include Key 103 in Manchester and Rock FM in Preston, were being properly serviced.

The last Rajar figures, which are recorded on a half-yearly basis for the network, show that the Big City Network has over 3.2 million listeners and a 13.6 per cent share of listening. The figures are down slightly on the previous half-year, when it attracted 3.5 million listeners and a 14.6 per cent audience share.

Moffett was previously brand director for EMAP’s Magic Radio Network but left the company to join interactive entertainment group Zoo three years ago.
