Getmemedia to offer bespoke online training to media users

Getmemedia.com, the online marketing ideas directory, has launched a bespoke training service for its users.

Get Me Insight, which is free to users of the online service, will arrange training sessions for marketers with key industry figures and trade bodies. The sessions will be tailored to the requirements of each company.

The service has been trialed by six users, including Mäller and British Airways, and has included talks by Internet Advertising Bureau chief executive Guy Phillipson and Outdoor Advertising Association chief executive Alan James.

Pete Davis, founder of Getmemedia, says that Get Me Insight is a key part of the company’s offer. The site, which was launched earlier in the year, offers marketers access to a search engine of media and marketing opportunities. Media owners pay a £500 annual fee to use the site.

Davis, a former Nestlé media controller, says Getmemedia aims to raise awareness of the number of opportunities that advertisers and agencies miss because media owners find it hard to access key decision makers.

The website, which is free to advertisers, has about 430 live ideas and has sold around 670 packages to advertisers since it launched.

The Rugby Football League is using the service to find a new title sponsor (MW May 25). MediaCom, MindShare and ZenithOptimedia already use the site.
