Chevrolet picks Draftfcb for Epica launch

Draftfcb London has won the digital and direct marketing business for Chevrolet in the UK following a pitch. The agency has been briefed to produce creative work for the launch of the Epica model (pictured).

Draftfcb, the incumbent on the direct marketing portion of the account, pitched against an undisclosed number of agencies.

It is believed GM is looking to centralise the £5m Chevrolet business into one agency. In the UK, GM’s roster agencies include Delaney Lund Knox Warren, Lowe London, Leo Burnett, Kastner & Partners and McCann Erickson.

Draftfcb created the most recent campaign for the marque featuring a fleet of cars accompanied by the Fine Young Cannibals’ track Good Thing.

In April 2006 GM appointed FCB London, which merged with Draft later that year, to handle the pan-European advertising for the launch of the Chevrolet Captiva SUV.
