MTV Networks revamps website after strong performance

MTV Networks UK and Ireland is repositioning its website as a general music and entertainment portal for 16-34 year olds. It is revamping its site in the wake of a recent strong online performance.

MTV reported that for December 2007 page impressions for its site wwww.mtv.co.uk were up 75% compared to December 2006, while there was also a 771% increase in the number of clips viewed during that time. It also found that the average time people spent on its site is up by nearly 50% last year.

It is aiming to bring the best of its music and entertainment programming together on its re-launched site, with exclusive video content and editorial scoops.
