British Gas Business has handed a brief to below-the-line agency TDA to develop an integrated direct marketing strategy for its insurance aggregator, insurance-for-business.co.uk. The agency won the project without a pitch.

TDA, which is already on the roster for parent company Centrica, is developing an on and offline campaign to promote the new website. It will target small and medium businesses through trade press ads and direct mail in a bid to encourage them to use the site to find insurance deals.

Insurance-for-business.co.uk searches for insurance deals – including public liability, professional indemnity and employers’ liability – from providers such as AXA, Zurich and Norwich Union.

British Gas Business head of insurance Neal Phillips says: “Our new insurance service can provide a quick and cost-effective solution for many businesses, including those that traditionally struggle to get insured.”
