Bid TV, the shopping and auction channel, is launching a £3m advertising push featuring interviews with its bargain-hunting shoppers. The campaign breaks on Friday (April 11).

Four 30-second television ads have been created by Midlands agency Rees Bradley Hepburn. They are filmed in the style of post-victory interviews with sports stars and aim to capture the thrill of making a purchase. The campaign uses the strapline “Proof Every Buyer Wins With Bid TV”.

The television ads were directed by Jonny Campbell, who worked on Phoenix Nights, Shameless and Ashes to Ashes. The radio campaign features a voiceover by 1970s It’s a Knockout presenter Stuart Hall.

There will also be a promotion on Midlands-based Heart FM’s breakfast show, starting on April 21. Media planning and buying was handled by Mediaedge:cia.
