Uniqlo launches global t-shirt campaign

Uniqlo is launching a global advertising campaign to promote its “UT project”, which will see more than 700 t-shirts created by artists and designers sold in its stores. It is the first time the campaign has been extended around the world.

The project aims to show the range of the retailer’s UT clothing line, with the t-shirt designs positioned to reflect freedom of expression. In the UK, press and outdoor ads created by US agency MP Creative are launching today (April 7), with media planning handled by Naked.

Print ads have been created for glossy magazines as part of the campaign featuring actress Chloe Sevigny and Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano. A separate creative execution will appear in Uniqlo’s in-house magazine, as well as newspapers and outdoor.
