EasyJet appoints Publicis Modemto its digital roster

E-commerceBudget airline easyJet has appointed Publicis Modem to its digital roster. The business is understood to be worth about £1m.

The agency will handle online projects to complement the offline work created by ad agency Publicis London. It will also work closely with the airline’s existing digital agency, EHS Brann.

EasyJet consolidated its £20m pan-European advertising and direct marketing accounts into Publicis London in October this year.

Publicis Modem managing director Sebastian Dreyfus says “We have been appointed by easyJet as its digital agency of choice, and will be working closely with the airline to enhance its consumer-facing operations. This includes optimising its e-commerce offering and boosting online bookings.”

The agency is launching a review of easyJet’s current digital services and aims to help the budget airline to increase its presence online. It says it will “work with easyJet to ensure it appeals to both leisure and business travellers”.

This will include editing content on its site, improving search-engine optimisation and simplifying the site’s online booking facility.
