Walkers is to introduce the crisp flavour Builder’s Breakfast after its putting the Do Us A Flavour competition shortlist to the public vote.

The company trialled six new flavours after asking for submissions and requested customers to vote on their favourite in an integrated campaign. More than one million votes were cast and Builder’s Breakfast polled 232,336 and nearly 22% of votes cast.

The favour was suggested by Emma Rushin (pictured) of Belper, Derbyshire, and she wins £50,000 and 1% of future sales of her flavour. Walkers will decide how long the winning flavour is available.

The full list of suggested flavours included Onion Bhaji, Fish & Chips, Crispy Duck and Hoisin, Cajun Squirrel and Chilli & Chocolate.

The competition launched in July last year and the flavours went on sale in January. The public could vote via website, SMS, facebook, mobile and email.
