Pinder takes on wider Publicis duties

Richard Pinder is to head Publicis Worldwide while retaining his title of chief operating officer as a result of a group restructure.

Publicis Worldwide executive chairman Oliver Fleurot is to become CEO of Publicis Groupe’s PR, corporate communications and events management activities while Publics healthcare Communications group will be headed by Jean-Yves Naouri.

Pinder (pictured) stood in as acting chief executive for Publicis UK to replace Tim Lindsay for the early part of last year until Nigel Jones was recruited from Draft FCB to be chairman and chief executive.

Publicis Groupe recently revealed first quarter results showing a 4.4% drop in organic revenues.

The network recently won the Hewlett Packard Personal Systems Group business for Europe, Middle East and Africa with a team co-led by Pinder.
