Climate Week event seeks sponsors

A headline sponsor is being sought for next year’s debut national Climate Week event, which is being supported by media partners The Sun and The Daily Telegraph.

The event is due to run next March and has been established by Kevin Steele, an entrepreneur with a track record in running issue awareness weeks.

Steele has hired sponsorship agency Generate to source a top sponsor and four “second tier” sponsors.

He claims the event has already been endorsed by Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Conservative leader David Cameron and former US vice president and climate change campaigner Al Gore (pictured).

He says: “Climate Week offers sponsors the opportunity to demonstrate their environmental credentials to the business world and mass consumer market, network with government and influential industry leaders and be seen as a leader of a national occasion focused on this pressing issue” says Generate Sponsorship managing partner Andy Muggleton.
