DMG reports 45% profit bump

The Digital Marketing Group (DMG) says profit increased 45% last year and says it is confident on its future prospects.

The digital marketing specialist, owner of GraphicoDMG, CheezeDMG, InboxDMG and AgencyDMG, says pre-tax profit was £3.1m for the year ended March 31, up from £2.15m a year earlier.

Revenues increased 11% to £56.5m, up from £51m last year.

The group says it expects to “benefit significantly” from the upturn in digital media spend.

The company says it expects online advertising to account for over 20% of all advertising expenditure by the end of the present financial year, adding “given our position as the UK’s largest digital marketing agency we expect to benefit significantly from the recovery in marketing spend”.

Ben Langdon, chief executive of DMG, says: “The long term strategic vision for DMG remains extremely exciting as marketing spend continues to shift towards online media channels and we remain confident about the future, despite the challenge the current economic climate poses.”
