Market research body names Finn Raben as director general

Esomar, the world organisation for opinion and marketing research, has appointed Finn Raben as its new director general.

Raben (pictured) has a long career in market research, starting at Millward Brown IMS and including TNS. He joins Esomar from the position of CEO of Southern Europe at Synovate, where he was responsible for integrating and harmonising the many companies acquired in the region, into the Synovate offering.

At TNS he worked with a number of major global clients, including Procter & Gamble, McDonald’s and Microsoft as global director of planning and co-ordination for key accounts.
