Jones is thought to be joining Arcadia as group marketing director where she will supervise the company’s plans to integrate Arcadia concessions like Dorothy Perkins and Wallis into its BHS chain.

Last year Sir Philip Green (pictured with Kate Moss) the owner of the Arcadia Group merged the BHS chain with its other brands which include Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins and Burtons and announced plans to introduce the brands into BHS stores as concessions.

Debenhams is currently converting over 500,000 square feet of store space from branded concessions to own-bought ranges as part of its strategy to focus on its “Designers at Debenhams” proposition.

This week the chain launched H!, a new collection with designer Henry Holland.

A Debenhams spokesman says: “We have a strong team in place, we are of course on the lookout for a replacement but it is business as usual.”
