EasyRoommate looks to drive up conversion rates

Flat and house share website, EasyRoommate, is looking to increase online conversions and grow its membership base.

The company is working with Maxymiser to run A/B testing on its payment and posting web pages. Following this, multivariate testing will be implemented across the whole site. It chose the conversion management specialist in preference to Google Optimiser and Conversion Rate Experts.

EasyRoommate is a subscription-based site which allows members to access other member profiles and contact details in order to find flats, houses and rooms to rent in 20 countries. The company is looking to determine which designs, content and layout will have the strongest impact on subscriptions.

Karim Goudiaby, managing director at EasyRoommate, says: “We analysed our business performance and identified online conversions as a key area where we could improve. We will now be able to proactively manage conversions as we will have clear statistical evidence about which page layouts and content works best in converting more visitors.”

Goudiaby adds: “Previously we may have discarded an idea which we thought was irrelevant. But there will no longer be any pre-conceived notions about what content works and what doesn’t as our web strategy will be based around scientific evidence.”
