Heat hands ad account to CHI & Partners

Bauer-owned Heat has appointed CHI & Partners to its advertising account following a competitive pitch.

CHI & Partners beat Team Saatchi, Quiet Storm and incumbent Rapier to the account. It is thought incumbent Rapier will retain some of the business, but it is unclear what elements of the business it will continue to work on.

Rapier was first appointed to the integrated account in January 2009, after wrestling the account from Quiet Storm during a pitch. The agency was also tasked with handling advertising for the gossip magazine’s associated radio station and website.

ABC circulation figures from January-June 2010 revealed that Heat magazine’s weekly circulation dropped to 417,163 from 445,192 at the same time last year.
