Marketing Academy founder shortlisted for top female marketer award

Sherilyn Shackell, founder of the Marketing Week sponsored Marketing Academy, has been shortlisted for the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s new female marketer of the year award.

The prize will be handed out at the Women in Marketing Awards in London on 3 November.

The new female marketer of the year category recognises “someone who is relatively new to the marketing discipline, and has made a significant achievement within the time they have been performing as a marketer.”

Shackell is the CEO of the Marketing Hall of Legends (UK) and founder of The Marketing Academy.

The Marketing Academy aims to develop leadership capability in talented marketers through the medium of mentoring, coaching and experiential learning.

She is also CEO of Highfield Human Solutions Group, which works on talent management, leadership development and executive search. She is also the executive vice president of IMD International Search Group.

The Women in Marketing Awards 2010 are sponsored by Swarovski.
