Signet, the retail group which owns jewellers H. Samuel and Ernest Jones, has restructured its marketing department to focus on individual brands.

The retail group, which also owns jeweller Leslie Davis, is creating “brand-specific” teams to work on each retail brand and adding three new roles to the 35-strong department.

Each brand’s marketing manager will report to Signet head of brand marketing Jeff Jones.

Jennifer Barre, formerly marketing manager across all three brands will now focus on Ernest Jones.

Colin Wagstaffe, Signet marketing director, says: “We’ve realigned our structure in order to clearly differentiate our brands and reflect the importance of even more shared activity going forward.”

Signet is also looking to appoint a marketing manager for H. Samuel and two trade marketing managers responsible for the group’s relationship with suppliers.

The restructure follows several new marketing initiatives such as the H. Samuel and Ernest Jones pop-up jewellery shops in the run up to Valentine’s Day last year, and a partnership with Amanda Wakeley to launch a designer fashion range from Ernest Jones.
