Nokia CEO Stephen Elop has unveiled details of the first Nokia Windows Phone at an event allegedly unintended for public consumption.

Footage of the Nokia Windows Phone, codenamed Sea Ray, has emerged on YouTube, with Elop discussing the manufacturer’s strategy.

The device displayed during the event uses the Mango version of the Windows Phone OS and is similar to the Nokia N9, released earlier this week, which uses the Meego operating system.

“I’m going to ask you to turn off your cameras and put away your recording devices,” said Elop at the event. “This is something we do not want to see out there in the blogosphere.”

The device uses Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9, is HTML5-compatible and contains a Nokia Maps application (as demonstrated below).

“By the way, that was just the first one. I have other devices completely different that are already working as well. We’re making tremendous progress,” said Elop.
