Tesco and Cancer Research UK end sponsorship deal
Cancer Research UK is on the hunt for a sponsor for its Race for Life fundraiser after its 10-year partnership with Tesco is set to come to an end.
The charity, which sees over 650,000 women participate in its Race for Life events every year, has appointed sponsorship agency Generate to find a new sponsor.
Earlier this year Tesco launched its first TV ad to promote Race for Life, featuring marathon runner Paula Radcliffe and actress Fay Ripley.
Jools Tait, director of partnerships at Cancer Research UK, says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for corporates to establish a deeper association and integration with the Race for Life brand that has recruited over 5.4 million women to its events across the UK since its inception.”
Since its launch in 1994 Race for Life has raised £362m for research into cancer.
