Fox Home Entertainment creates CMO role

The home entertainment arm of film company Twentieth Century Fox has appointed its first chief marketing officer of worldwide marketing.

The company, owned by News Corp, has promoted Mary Daily into the role of president and CMO of worldwide marketing with a remit to develop a company structure that integrates physical and digital film offerings, from Blu-ray discs to digital downloads and streamed content.

President of home entertainment Mike Dunn adds that Daily will “create new opportunities of growth”.

Daily will be responsible for creative development, digital marketing, brand marketing, promotions, public relations and media for all products distributed worldwide. She will report directly to Dunn.

She says:” Whether consumers are accessing their entertainment through Blu-ray, DVD, via digital downloads, streaming or the cloud, we’ll be pursuing the delivery of engaging products, backed by disruptive campaigns that connect our projects to them.”

Daily has worked for the UK division of the company and since 2008 has been executive vice president of marketing for North America.

She has worked on marketing campaigns for titles including Avatar, X-Men First Class and Rio.

She has also held senior executive positions at MTV Networks International and at Universal Pictures International.
