Marketing Week Live 2012 attracts the crowds

Marketing Week Live, the premiere event for marketers, attracted more than 13,000 attendees to learn about new products, services and trends over its two days.

The event at Olympia was bigger than ever and attendance was up 6% year on year to ensure it was Europe’s largest trade marketing event. Many suppliers chose to launch new products at the event.

Marketing Week Live embraced every facet of the marketing industry, with suppliers displaying new tools from data analytics systems to products for mobile. Visitors were able to see the latest advances in point of sale marketing, check out developments in live marketing and attend ideas workshops.

They also has the chance to hear senior marketers such as Zoe Howorth, marketing director of Coca Cola Great Britain & Ireland and Syl Saller, global innovation director at Diageo, explain the thinking behind successful strategies.

Director of the show Paul MacDonald says: “We have worked tirelessly over the last four years to create an event that is in tune with modern marketers and I am excited by what the future holds for the show.”

Plans for next year to make Marketing Week Live attendance even more essential include a career development area and an Ask The Agency Experts initiative.

Continuing its development into a one-stop shop, 2013 will see elements for the show renamed. The In-Store Show will become Retail. The previously separate Online and Data shows will merge to become a single Digital and Data zone.
