The UK’s top 10 most popular ads on YouTube

Evian has scored yet another hit with its baby-themed viral marketing, as its “Baby & Me” video tops the UK list of the 10 most viewed ads on YouTube in April.

The latest installation in the series topped YouTube polls in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain and was viewed over 20 million times within two days of its release, according to official YouTube statistics.

Additionally, a whopping 83 per cent of viewers watched it until the end of the video, according to the food giant. Proof that it’s not just cat videos that encourage people to share, it adds.

This was followed by Dove’s “Real Beauty Sketches” campaign. The touching video features a portrait artist sketching women based on verbal descriptions from third parties and has clearly resonated with audiences. In at number three is IRN-BRU’s “Mum” video. No word other than “Freudian” can accurately describe this 41 seconds of viral awkwardness. This follows up from the previous month’s “New Fella” video from the Scottish drinks company.
