Dominic Chambers is taking over as marketing boss at Land Rover

In his role as global marketing communications director, Chambers will be responsible for the creation and delivery of all communications for the Land Rover master brand, as well as for major product launches.

Prior to joining Land Rover he was the interim head of advertising and content at Barclaycard. He has also held marketing roles at Vodafone, LG Electronics and Uniqlo, as well as heading up marketing for Audi in the UK.

The Land Rover brand, which is owned by Tata Motors, has performed well in recent months. Global sales were up 15 per cent year on year to 350,000 in 2013 and it is planning to boost sales further by improving its brand identity.

Its latest campaign, created by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, celebrates people who refuse to let England’s bad weather get them down. The #Hibernot spots show people braving the elements to have fun, ending with the strapline “Enjoy this grey and pleasant land”.

Jubb left Land Rover in January after more than two years in the role. It is unclear if he has another position to go to, with Land Rover saying he left to pursue other opportunities.
