Laying blame at Saatchi’s door

It seems to have been forgotten that it was the Saatchi Brothers themselves who destroyed the Saatchi empire and let down their shareholders prior to the company being rescued by others.

Maurice Saatchi talks of the current regime giving little thought to clients, yet only a few years ago he and his brother distanced themselves from the main agency in their bid for world domination.

Not for one moment do I question his brilliance as ad man, nor the rashness in firing him. However, I do find it hard to accept that a man who helped lose his shareholders hundreds of millions of pounds is quite the success being made out.
