Lowe Howard-Spink is tipped to win the £2m advertising account for Malibu following a secret two-month pitch.
LH-S has spent the past two months developing creative work for the Malibu coconut liqueur, which is part of the International Distillers & Vintners group.
IDV will this week decide whether the £2m account will be handed to LH-S or remain with incumbent agency Burkitt Weinreich Bryant Clients & Company.
Industry sources claim LH-S will win.
Burkitt’s Malibu advertising was redesigned in summer 1993. TV and radio campaigns emphasised Malibu’s Caribbean roots, using voice-overs by the Rastafarian poet Benjamin Zephaniah.
Burkitt still retains other IDV brands, including Baileys and Archers.
