Giles Keeble, creative partner at Leo Burnett, has left the agency after months of speculation about his future.
Keeble’s role at the agency has been in doubt since June last year when his job title and day-to-day duties were taken on by Gerard Stamp. Keeble, who had been executive creative director for six years, was shunted sideways to become creative partner investigating new media.
Although he claimed to be happy about Stamp’s appointment, the move led to speculation about his future at the agency.
Leo Burnett chief executive Steve Gatfield says Keeble isnow “pursuing interests beyond Leo Burnett”.
It is not clear which interests these are, but Gatfield says “it is possible” they will involve joint ventures with Leo Burnett.
Leo Burnett is not looking for a replacement. Keeble’s new media work at Leo Burnett will now be handled by Gerard Stamp.
