Initiative promotes Manwaring to top job

Initiative Media, the Lintas Worldwide media operation, is seeking an executive chairman following the promotion of planning director Tony Manwaring, to the position of managing director to replace outgoing chief executive Adam Stanhope.

Manwaring, who will control day-to-day running of the company, will report to the new chairman and to Marie-Jos Forissier, chair of Initiative Media International.

Broadcast manager David Cuff has been promoted to broadcast director, replacing Robert Ditcham who left to join Stanhope in a programme- making and new media venture.

Stanhope is believed to be working in partnership with Hat Trick Productions, producer of Drop The Dead Donkey and Have I Got News For You.

Manwaring is expected to announce further restructuring of Initiative’s management once the chairman is appointed.

Manwaring was previously deputy media director of Publicis and joined Initiative in 1991.
