Lever Brothers is launching New Generation Persil Liquid on March 20, with a £1.5m ad campaign through J. Walter Thompson breaking at the end of April. As in the powder market, Persil Power liquid will still exist, but it will not be promoted, says a Lever spokeswoman. Procter & Gamble launches Ariel Future Liquids in April.

Paul Steele, Pepsi-Cola’s group vice-president for northern Europe, says the new marketing director for Western Europe, Yann Tardiff who joined PepsiCo from Timberland last week (MW March 10), will report to Pinder.
