Campbell’s in head hunt as Scott moves

Campbell’s is looking for a new UK marketing director to replace Peter Scott who has moved to take up the position of sales and marketing director at the company’s food service group, Stratford-upon-Avon Foods.

Scott has been UK marketing director, later UK senior marketing director, at the world’s biggest soup company for the past six years.

Campbell’s bought the Stratford business from the Albert Fisher Group last October which was then called Fisher Quality Foods. At the time, the $7bn turnover-a-year (£4.5bn) firm said the acquisition signalled its intention to build a global food business.

Scott’s move, unusual for the marketing director of high profile consumer brands, is seen by observers as evidence of the im-portance the company attaches to the growing food service industry. “Campbell’s plans to move substantially into the food service area and we are acquiring extra businesses in this sector,” says Scott.
