Jacob’s boss goes over to Lea & Perrins

Jacob’s Bakery marketing director Yosi Heber is leaving his job to return to the US and take up the role of marketing director of Lea & Perrins.

Both Jacob’s Bakery and Lea & Perrins are owned by French food giant Danone.

In the UK Heber is responsible for brands which include Twiglets, Jacob’s Cream Crackers and Trio and Club biscuits.

Jacob’s has not yet found a replacement for Heber, who had held the post for two years after being promoted from within Danone. He leaves in June.

Danone is one of Europe’s leading food groups, best known for its yoghurts. Most recently it was tipped to buy the Colman’s of Norwich food interests from Reckitt & Colman, though in the end they went to Unilever.

The most recent activity from Jacob’s was the relaunch of the Twiglets brand after consumer research likened the packaging to John Major in its dullness.
