Harper Collins, the publisher, is understood to have picked Young & Rubicam to handle its 1m-plus account. Y&R knocked out Simons Palmer Denton Clemmow & Johnson in the final round of the pitch, which originally included Banks Hoggins O’Shea. Harper Collins started looking for its first UK ad agency in March (MW March 24).

Accurist, the watch company, is believed to be talking to agencies about its account.
