Peugeot has chosen Euro RSCG Babinet Tong Cuong to handle its corporate advertising in France after a pitch which lasted several months, and included Bates, Saatchi & Saatchi Business Communications and Grey.

Kaufhof, the German department store chain, has announced it is to handle advertising in-house for the time being. The news follows agency Meiré & Meiré’s decision to resign the DM 100m (45m) account, which it won last August.

This year’s edition of the ‘Etude Ballester’, an annual poll among advertisers on the image of French advertising agencies and industry practices, shows that clients are treating agencies less as partners and increasingly like any other supplier.
