Martin Mason quits post as MO’F marketing chief

Poster giant More O’Ferrall is searching for a marketing director to replace Martin Mason following his sudden resignation last week.

MO’F says the split is amicable and that Mason may continue to advise the company on certain aspects of its marketing. Mason joined the company from BSkyB, where he was Sky advertising director.

Mason has left MO’F to form his own media and marketing consultancy.

MO’F managing director Vincent Slevin says that filling Mason’s position will be a high priority.

“We are looking for a senior figure to fill what is a very important position for us. We’ve ambitious plans for the future and we want someone to take them on.”

MO’F sources dismiss

speculation that Mason was

dissatisfied with his position

following the resignation of

former managing director Richard Pears (who appointed him) last year.

“I have just put together MO’F’s new packages, and it seems a good time to move into a broader field,” says Mason.

“There is room in the industry for a consultancy handling the change that marketing strategies go through,” he adds.

British Transport Advertising has signed a deal with Midlands-based poster contractor Adverite to sell and market 75 48-sheet poster sites. The company claims that the deal is worth 1m over three years.
