Sega makes bit of a bundle

Last week, the Diary spent a pleasant afternoon playing zap ’em up on the new Sega Saturn games machines. All impressive stuff, but the Diary is a little concerned that Sega has the wrong marketing ploy for beating its giant rival Sony. Sega’s plan is to bundle a free game with its machine, which is capable of running a video so that you can freeze the screen, rewind to your favourite image and zoom in on key details. Bundling the beat ’em up Virtua Fighter game with the machine is all well and good, but I can’t help wondering whether something on the lines of “Debbie does Dallas” might go down a little better.
