Kwik Fit hires agency man for key post

Kwik Fit is appointing the account director behind its “You can’t get better than a Kwik Fit fitter” strategy to run its marketing department.

Paul Yole, who developed the strategy while working at Hall Advertising (until 1986), is taking the role of marketing director for Great Britain.

He replaces group director of marketing Peter Holmes, who has been promoted to managing director. Holmes’ position as board level group marketing director will not be replaced.

Yole has worked for the past nine years in Western Australia, where he was managing director of advertising agency Bowtell Clarke & Yole.

Kwik Fit’s rivals include Ford’s “Fast Fit”and Montinex, owner of Charlie Brown’s autocentres.
