Two former Young & Rubicam employees awaiting trial for VAT fraud have been released on bail from a Brussels prison, where they have been held since their arrest last February (MW June 9). Marco Ippolito and Jean-Marie Sohet have been ordered not to leave Belgium. The two were arrested during a police investigation into a VAT fraud of BelFr63m (1.5m).

The United Bank of Kuwait has appointed Amherst Direct Marketing, following a four-way pitch.

Grey Integrated has won the launch account for book publisher Penguin UK, launching a new professional music database product.

Booth, Lockett, Makin has won the media-buying and creative account for the Vidal Sassoon Appliance. Ads for the range will air by the end of the year.

The Sage software account is up for review following reports of a dispute between Sage and its agency Yellow M.
