Maiden unveils results of major restructure

Maiden Outdoor has retained British Transport Advertising’s senior management as part of a restructuring move following their merger.

Maiden Group will comprise a roadside division headed by present group joint managing director Francis Goodwin, a transport division headed by Roger Fernley, former BTA managing director, and an operations division headed by Maiden’s other joint managing director David Dron.

The divisions will have one sales director, Alexandra Ward, presently Maiden’s sales director. Sales positions below her will be spread between a roadside team, railways team and bus ads team. Sales team redundancies have yet to be announced.

Further redundancies are also expected at the two companies’ regional sales operations, which are to be merged. And jobs will be lost in its finance and administration departments. BTA’s posting crew will be replaced by sub-contractors.

Goodwin will continue to have responsibility for the group’s marketing. BTA sales and marketing director Julian Macey joins the Maiden operating board as business development director.

More O’Ferrall is crediting its bus shelter division, Adshel, with its better than expected half-year results. The group’s pre-tax profit in the six months to June 30 increased 66 per cent to 4.7m. Turnover rose 17 per cent to 39.3m.
