Put off your food by a Gallic symbol

BYLN:

When people are boycotting French wines, protesting outside the embassy and even ditching their early-morning croissants, it’s not a particularly good time to join an agency which is trying to promote French food and drinks in the UK.

Isabelle Bonhomme has just joined marketing agency Sopexa (UK) as product group manager. Her job? To sing the praises of Gallic fresh produce. The Diary tried to contact Bonhomme at Sopexa, but was told that she was in Portugal. None of the other executives were available to comment for a variety of reasons such as sickness and absence.

Maybe they are keeping a low profile until the white heat of France’s nuclear testing – and its fall-out – blows over.
