Yorkshire Bank has narrowed the pitchlist for its 4m advertising account. Simons Palmer, McCann-Erickson Manchester, JWT Manchester, CDP and Banks Hoggins O’Shea have been asked to pitch. The review has been overseen by Yorkshire Bank head of marketing Chris Herbert. The work is expected to break in the spring.

Post Office Counters is believed to have shortlisted J Walter Thompson, WCRS, D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles and incumbent GGT for its 4m account.

CLK, the brand development consultancy, has promoted Richard Zambuni to managing director. He replaces Chris Wood who becomes joint chairman of CLK and managing director of Princedale Group marketing services division.

Burson-Marsteller, the public relations company, is launching an advertising division, Marsteller Advertising, in Europe. The new company was launched six months ago in the US.

Estée Lauder, the cosmetics manufacturer, has decided to remain with Bates Manhattan after reviewing its account. The agency will retain responsibility for Estée Lauder, Clinique, Prescriptives, Origins and Aramis.

Banks Hoggins O’Shea’s creative duo, Simon Morris and Geoff Smith, are returning to Lowe Howard Spink.

Faulds Advertising has devised a new campaign for Crabbie’s Green Ginger Wine. The campaign, which runs on the sides of buses in Scotland this month, is the company’s first for decades.

AEG, the white goods manufacturer, is launching a 1m television and radio campaign to support its new range of super quiet dishwashers. The six-week campaign, through Young & Rubicam, breaks this week and features commercials showing a deer in a forest unperturbed by a dishwasher in mid-cycle.

The Independent Television Commission is looking for a head of advertising standards, who will report to the director of advertising and sponsorship.

Saab, the Swedish car maker, has returned to UK TV with a campaign created by the Swedish-agency Lowe Brindfors. The ad carries the new strapline “Beyond the conventional”.

Bob Hoskyns is making a comeback in BT’s “It’s Good to Talk” campaign, which will run through to the end of March and will include four new executions. An additional execution, minus Hoskins and focusing on price, is breaking in Scotland.
