‘We screwed up’ over our in-house mag

In reply to Angela Tillcock’s letter (MW October 20) about our pornographic in-house magazine cover I hold my hands in the air and acknowledge we screwed up.

The plan in changing our catalogue from A5 to A4 format was to get away from the “pile it high, sell it cheap” image and give it a lifestyle appeal. Unfortunately, we completely missed the spot and along with Ms Tillcock’s public rebuke I have had about two dozen complaints from understandably aggrieved customers.

I publicly recognise that we got it wrong and ensure all our loyal and future customers that this won’t be repeated. Sorry.
