Drugs bust question leads to MW helping police with their enquiries

The long arm of the law is clearly guided by a discerning eye, as the Diary found out last week.

Checking rumours of a drugs bust at an agency, which sadly for the image of the agency concerned proved to be unfounded, a colleague phoned Inspector Knacker at Paddington Green nick: “I’m from Marketing Week and I’m trying to find out about a drugs bust at an advertising agency, can you help?”

“Marketing Week, eh? Sorry, no. But I’m glad you phoned. I get your magazine every week – I’m doing a business studies course and I need some information on the ice cream market, where do I start?” inquired Knacker.

Ever eager to keep on the right side of the boys in blue, MW’s library was put at his disposal.
