CDP beats two in 2m Yorkshire Bank pitch

CDP has won the Yorkshire Bank account after a three-way pitch against Banks Hoggins O’Shea and J Walter Thompson (Manchester).

A campaign, worth up to 2m, will break at the end of February and is expected to consist of TV and press ads and mailings.

The first bursts will focus on the bank’s Flexible Payment Mortgage account, which allows customers to reduce the length of their mortgage and the net interest they pay.

David Gibson, manager of communications and media for Leeds-based Yorkshire Bank, says: “The campaign will emphasise the bank’s ability in tailoring solutions to meet customer needs. It will focus on flexibility, commonsense and our very personal approach.”

Yorkshire Bank has been without an agency since spring last year, when it parted company with Burkitt Edwards Martin.

Media buying will be carried out by Leeds-based Dixon Moutrie Silkstone, appointed in September.
